New pro-Democracy grassroots group is focused on fighting for Iowans!

lowans for Decency is a new values-based grassroots group working to fight political extremism with decency, truth, and integrity.

One of the group's founders will be speaking at a special meeting of Democracy Iowa on Sat., Feb. 21. RSVP for the session.

What They're Focused On

Cuts to Medicaid, SNAP benefits, public education, and other services are destroying Iowans and their economy. Tariffs are resulting in record levels of farm bankruptcies. Iowans for Decency values honesty, science, history, and the U.S. Constitution, and believes politicians should prioritize affordable health care, lower grocery prices, housing, and our kids' education.

Iowans for Decency believes these kitchen-table issues must be the top priority of anyone representing lowans in Washington, D.C. 

Why lowa's 2026 Midterm Elections Matter 

For the past 16 years, a lack of balance in politics has left Iowans behind and basic Constitutional rights under attack. Iowa has dropped to 50th in the U.S. for economic growth and is facing a $1.3 billion deficit in 2026. The agricultural industry is projecting lowa's farm income will decline by 24 percent in 2026. Iowa has the second-highest and fastest-growing rate of new cancers in the nation and U.S. Senator Joni Ernst's response, "we're all gonna die," sums up how out of touch Iowa's elected officials are with ordinary Iowans. It's time for a reset. If pro-Democracy candidates take control of Congress next year, we will once again have some checks and balances in place to curtail the chaos.
