About the Event
Local nonprofit group, Des Moines Refugee Support, is hosting a donation drive to help area students kickoff the school year ready to learn and have fun. The Grant's Back to School Free Store offers local students of refugee families the opportunity to pick out a new backpack, school supplies, clothes and shoes. They are accepting NEW and gently-used items and have a list of what is needed to best support these families.
DMRS also needs volunteers to help during the free store event (Friday 8/8 from 4-8 p.m. & Saturday 8/9 from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.) and you can sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/904054DADA928A2FA7-57471003-2025#/
